There may be times when you want to remove an Edevy plugin from your site—maybe you’re done with a feature, troubleshooting, or making room for something new. Here’s how to safely uninstall any Edevy plugin.
Uninstalling via WordPress Dashboard #
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Find the Edevy plugin you want to remove (e.g., “Net Terms,” “Dashboard Cleaner”).
- Click Deactivate (if the plugin is currently active).
- The plugin row will refresh, and the “Deactivate” button will become Delete.
- Click Delete.
- WordPress will ask you to confirm. Click OK to remove the plugin.
What Happens to My Settings & Data? #
- By default, uninstalling a plugin removes the plugin files from your site.
- Most Edevy plugins keep your settings/data in the database in case you reinstall later, but check each plugin’s documentation for specifics.
- If you want to remove all data/settings as well, check for a “Delete all data on uninstall” setting in the plugin options (if available) before deleting.
Uninstalling a Pro Plugin (Manual ZIP Uploads) #
- The process is exactly the same:
- Deactivate → Delete from the Plugins page.
- If you reinstall later, you can re-upload the latest ZIP and reactivate your license key.
Troubleshooting Plugin Removal #
- If you see errors while deleting a plugin, make sure you have proper permissions or try refreshing the page.
- Still can’t remove it? Contact Edevy Support for assistance.
